I do not know how you decide what is necessary. Having a child is one of the most momentous decisions people make- I happen to think more people should NOT have children, rather than forcing those who do not want them to continue pregnancies. I am much more concerned with the lives already in existence.

Just out of curiosity why on earth would you want someone who would casually have an abortion, for convenience, to raise a child? Surely that person has shown themselves to be irresponsible, and thus not the kind of person who should be a parent.

I see the universe as indifferent to what we do. I see nature as simply existing- neither good nor bad, neither cruel nor kind. Man taking or not taking what nature gives doesn't really matter to nature. Man modifies or even destroys nature all the time. Man destroys whole species, changes the terrain, man can certainly control his own reproduction.

I do not care why people get abortions as long as they get them early. It upsets me that women wait until the later months of pregnancy. But I do not want the State to control women's bodies.
