When Intel designed the AGP, they found they couldn't meet the electrical timings at 133mhz without using a source synchronous clock. Socket7 can't do that without a whole new electrical definition for the chipset and processor. All that to just plug the hole until the K7 comes out. That's why I don't think Socket7 will ever reach 133mhz.

Because it is evolutionary and paying large royalties to Rambus is distasteful. Watch and see what happens. I'll talk to you about it again at the end of the year when the results are in.
