I'm a little far south for perch. I have caught them in Canada and they are good to eat. The ones we caught were only 10 to 12" so it took a bunch. They catch them on Lake Michigan but a big one is 8 inches. Now a 2 pounder is worth cleaning.

Have you ever thought about a 6X6 ATV? I've seen them on TV where they replaced the 4 rear wheels with tracks. Even my 4X4 ATV is light enough to float.

Frank: JUMBO perch for sure. 2 1/2 pounds. That must be fun. Lake Michigan has been 'down' for perch for many years. We used to get some real nice catches...and ones that we called 'jumbos'...but now I have heard what a jumbo really is! When I was in high school...we used to go down to Lake Michigan on a Saturday night after the dances were over and sit down with a 6 pack and a few cane poles and just enjoy the 'perch'....now I have a hard time staying awake that late!
