Frank, I agree to what you said mostly. MPEG2 can deliver good video at 1-2Mbps. 10M is not needed until higher quality of video is desired. However, the line attenuation for DSL is where the problem is. The higher the payload rate, the severe the degradation. At slower download rate, ie, in the 100k-500k bps rate, the attenuation is not so troublesome. But once the download increases, we'll see the big difference.
