"How does Mexico compete against Brazil? By the way, the Mexican Peso slid about 6% this week." - Bill, I had a series of conversations with friends in México last week [before the Brasil devaluation], and while none of them are or pretend to be experts of any kind, they just sort of all expect further devaluation of the peso. The price of oil is one reason - it's very important to México and current levels are ridiculously low.

The Centenario coin gets quoted even in the regional papers, it's at ~3500 pesos now quotes.reuters.com - and those are the new pesos, with three zeros lopped off (many still call the new peso 'mil pes' [one thousand pesos], and 1,000 pesos 'un millon').

Most who can have money in the US sharemarket. It's not patriotic but it works well.
