CK, I think you misunderstand what I said. I'm not knocking him, I'm confirming his statement about the power plant being the potential problem. Dick Mills wrote;

share of Y2K problems. The threat to the grid posed by power plants
and big loads are transient shocks."

There are hundreds of pieces of support equipment for the Generator and Turbine with embedded chips.
