I didn't realize it was 10/month...when I joined they had just instituted a 75$ lifetime fee. well worth the investment. I get a lot of great thoughts from many of the contributors on this site.
i want to update anyone who is interested on some more of my experiences using a different isp. Aol had been my sole isp since 95 and i was liking it very much. Never have understood all the complaining as I have found it quick and easy to access. 2 weeks ago i got an adsl line so now i must use a different isp and come in aol through the backdoor. My wife and I have both observed that the services we use and the sites we visit, including this one, are definitely quicker going through aol than through the cincinnati bell accessing method. I also was trying to research some European vacations and was using alta vista search engine through fuse.net and was having no luck coming up with maps I could copy. I then simply typed in maps in the url and the provider simply abandoned my desire to use alta vista and i wound up on yahoo. This wasn't appreciatted and didn't get me my results I wanted either. Then I loaded in my aol, typed in maps and had all the european maps I wanted.
I have to admit, I cannot understand why so many people badmouth the aol service. My experiences are that it is purer than my local bell isp , quicker and provides better results.
