Sonki,

Re earthquakes. Been there - done that - only 3 mi from epicenter in Northridge. I don't think lightning will strike twice but we'll see. Holding on and everything bolted down. Not going anywhere but a backup power system is sounding like a better idea today.

Sonki. I decided to answer some more posts. Our evening out was spoiled and I have no TV or cable and I had enough listening to my Radio. How spoiled we are now. That's all we used to have and now it's mostly used for car trips when we don't put our cassettes in. gg.

No. Our power did not go out until Thursday evening after the massacre. I was able to live with this situation on Friday since the market was doing great. But I was plenty worried before the market opened with all my internet stocks. It was horrible to be stuck in the house and not being able to watch the stocks go by or take a peek at MY YAHOO at times. But come to think of it things were really not quite as primitive as I was saying. I was able to use the telephone and pester my broker for quotes. I have to reduce some of my smaller internet stocks. This is too much pressure for the heart when you are in the dark, meaning my stocks this time. gg. Hm, Y2K looks more scary to me now.

Oh yes. CA with those earth quakes, fires and rainstorms looks so much more tempting. gg. Oh, I'd better not go this route again with Tony reading the messages. gg. Wasn't it your house you were worried about floating away last year? gg.

See, I have evening lights and I am almost back to normal. gg.

My county will pick up all the debris later on this week.

After a week like this the meaning of: "Let there be light" really comes to light. gg.
