Fred, if you want to see the ridiculous levels to which pundits are going with the internet model, you should read the 2/99 Red Herring, page 140, entitled "Margin of Error", by Alex Gove. I'll give you the teaser headline which says it all: "Internet retailers ponder a world of zero gross margins."

I don't care how low cost your "store front" is, you need margins to stay in business. Unfortunately the article isn't available on line yet or I'd give you the url. It's a must read, if only for the idiotic extreme some folks are willing to allow their simplistic thinking to carry them.

Arnie

Frederick,

All over Europe, wireless stocks have rocketed
over the weekend, with ATI on the Frankfurt up
15 dollars (above Fri. close!), VOD up 15 %, ORNGY,
C + W all very strong. The combined Vod/Ati
will #3 biggest company in England ever (110 BILLION
U.S.). The top European analysts are saying that
the whole wireless sector is very undervalued!
