The HQ earnings on Ciena have come out of nowhere. Let's try calling HQ and Ciena to obtain their comments on the HQ earnings estimates. If Monday isn't a holiday for them, I'll start dialing. I looked through Vickers Institutional shareholders on Ciena and can't readily identify what HQ may own in Ciena by way of related party ownership or how they would benefit from making these earnings forecasts that on the surface appear to be so disparate from the consensus. Keep up the good work.

Glen, I get H&Q reports via Schwab... I have not been able to verify any comments made
by them on Cien recently, much less any reiteration of earnings estimates such as you
have posted. Please provide more information or a URL to verify such. I would like to
see their justification for such. I find it hard to believe based on the guidance provided by
the company at the last earnings release or maybe someone knows something we don't .

Tom,

I am a subscriber to Zacks and have certain stocks that are in my profile. Analyst's revisions of these stocks are emailed to me daily. I have no way to confirm accuracy. I just copy and pasted that section of the email from Zacks. You may wish to contact Zacks on the issue. I do not plan on spending anymore time on it.
