Merritt, Interesting article. I agree with much of it and that is why I am long Mexico Fund calls. However, I think the guy, as correct as he may be on LA, is totally off the wall on the US economy. He mentions that the US economy is a roaring engine. But that is because of what Richebacher calls the most rampant credit and money expansion in history. That has caused the asset inflation and requires ever higher levels of growth, over time, not necessarily in any one reporting period, to sustain it. I don't think that is positive for the US long term, as it has caused great indebtedness and massive, unbalanced asset inflation. How that works out relative to LA is the question I haven't answered to my own satisfaction, yet, which is why I am long calls and not stock.
