All... Evening! : )

Just checking in. Wow! Lots of messages today! And a lot of new faces! That's great, I say welcome to all of you! I'm a newbie trader myself, about 3 months now, serious the last 4 weeks maybe. Have learned a lot here.

Bull... I guess you are referring to the "guest" hyping? Jeff has never hyped a stock as long as I can remember. I think that's the beauty of our day, short term, position type trading here. We don't fall in love with a stock and wind up holding for too long. : )

Anyway, welcome to you too. Look forward to your contribution to the thread.

Snerd

Bullw: EGGS - I was a little upset that I did not have my usual pad/pencil with me to take down arguments and his name like I normally would have. I have heard of him but do not recall his last name, I beleive that his first name was David .... but I know that when he was announced I said to myself "Oh, finally a guest that I recognize on the Inet sector". I also only remember a couple of his arguments against EGGS ... one of them being loss of name recognition and physical presence and now forced to do battle on a battlefield that they were late to. He also mentioned that there was virtually no way to increase revenue or efficiencies fast enough to make up the ground lost when they exited the physical store front model for a virtual store front. He cited some very believable numbers and certainly made his case with me. I was very pro EGGS before the interview and he spent some significant time covering them. I have not verified his numbers but he made a solid enough case as far as I am concerned to send me to the sidelines with this issue.

I must take some exception to the "hype" accusation. It is each person's responsibility to judge for themselves what is hype and what is not. Personally, there are a few people that I would believe regardless of whether they cited specifics or not. These people have proven themselves to me in the past and if they say something regarding a company or issue, I will listen. I would hope that I am in this category on this thread. I did not say that EGGS is going down, nor did I say that EGGS will not meet earnings estimates merely said that a business radio guest made a very convincing argument as to why EGGS would not make it long term, enough so that I would not consider them for anything other than a quick trade. Hopefully people here understand that if I could remember exactly what was said or the numbers, I would have posted them here immediately....but since I do not, I will not fabricate or guess at the numbers.

If I am wrong in my assessment however, and the thread members would prefer that I do not post this kind of information without the specifics, I would certainly oblige.

In my book "Hype" is defined as "Baseless information from an unknown or unproven source to manipulate the action of others for their own benefit". Again, I hope that my name here is somewhat respected as a "proven" source and that my intentions are completely clear.

Trade well.
