Job is not that important. A trust fund will do ok. :-)

I have discovered that men, in general, are much more venal than women. I learned this while reading Jane Austen. Remember all the romantic heroines that feared they would never marry because they were from poor, but honest families? Well, let me level with you, Jane understood it quite well, given the choice, a man would rather marry a woman with her own income.

I don't know if you have ever read things I posted to others, not you, I don't want to be repetitive, but I used to handle a lot of divorces (I quit) and usually men don't file for divorce, it is women, but I found that men, by and large, felt very injured if a woman who was not the mother of young children, refused to get a job. Not all men are like that, my next door neighbor is adamant against his wife working, in fact, I am the only working wife on my short block, but the guys in this neighborhood are all older. Younger guys expect their wives to work. I am not sure when the guys changed, I think boomers want working wives, and pre-boomers don't.
