Paul,

My feelings are also mixed about Gore.

But as to the current presidency (small p) is finished as far as doing anything for - or against - this country:

There are still some things that this presidency can do for or against this country. As long as the current occupant doesn't resign, the Senate of the United States will have to decide which is more important, the rule of law or that swearing an oath to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth doesn't mean anything if you are the President of the United States.

I'm very interested how each and every senator answers this question. This will separate those who understand what truth and truth-telling means from those who seek and choose political reasons to avoid the real issue. Those senators who fail to discern the real issues, and continue to view this trial through their over-used political lenses, will be placing their own political self-interests ahead of the country and the Constitution.

Of course, this is just my opinion, but I like to tell it as I see it.

Watching closely.

Barry
