Only valid if you are not starving. A lower dollar is good for the States right now. You cannot shift from a resource exporting nation to an importing-service one, in one breath. There are no service economies that are not strong also in manufacturing. And all seek to control their own resources by service and overseas investment. Its a delicate balance and one that Japan did not make good on. we however for all our dependence on mother nature and metal prices are not doing that bad.. so far.. EC<:-}
