Thank you for the explanation. So as resistivity varies for different metal layers, they can reroute to take advantage of this, thus compensating for what really should be fixed at a lower level. Isn't this just a quick workaround until an all layer fix can be worked out or would they just go with this if it works under the principle that if it ain't broke anymore then don't fix it?
