Just a thought: it is now the year 1999, the year that Nostradamus predicted that the "Great Terror" would come from the sky.

I believe it is one of the few quatrains that actually mentions a specific date.

Although many of his quatrains are so obscure no one really knows what they refer to, it is my understanding that the few he graced with actual dates have all come true. This is the last one with an actual date named.

I found Wilde quite fictional. Shaws characters in A&TM had more of a boy-next-door feeling. Wilde was more like a fairytale...situations which I could rarely identify with. But such is fiction...!

Are you an English Major ? You seem to know a lot about literature. It rare to find someone with a literary bent on these boards.
