Don: it can cost a bit more, but I usually don't have time to watch trading activity the way you do. If I want the stock, I just buy it & hope for the best. Usually, I haven't gotten burned.

The hottest stock is the next ebay- the name of the stock is BID.COM (ticker: bii or bii.to)and is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. BUT IT WILL BE MOVING TO NASDAQ SOON. Check this one out. The stock is climbing FAST. Try to catch it if you can
