re: schwab, my limited experience here suggests youre right, ive been pleasantly surprised by the speed of fills, and many days get price improvements of 1/16 or 1/8, sometimes 3-4 a day....however, i got to see the impact of going manual last wednesday trading CNKT. two back-to-back sell orders were cancelled by me, but only showed up as cancel pending. for a while i figured i had screwed up and oversold my position since the price blew right thru both orders. to my surprise, neither were executed, the stock continued up, and i was lucky enough to put a third sell order in and make another 1.5 points.

good thread!!

Doesn't Schwab have their own MM business? Or am I confusing this with someone else? It would be interesting to know what brokerage houses do have their own MM business in the market.
