The claim will be made that it was a "fast market" and the market was ahead of the tape. In reality, I have seen more and more of the market makers front running a trade (pushing the bid/ask against you for a market order). I don't use market orders any more. I tried one a week ago to sell an option. It was bid 1 1/4 and asked 1 1/2. I got a fill at 3/4!!
