Good morning William,

Hi and how are you?? I think if the markets were open today we would have enjoyed a good
session. Lets hope that nothing goes awry overnight to cast a dismal shadow on tomorrow's session.

I was very impressed with the spike in Microsoft especially during the last hour. I do think that they will report good earnings and possibly a 2 for 1 stock split. Lucent has just been marvelous and I admit that one I missed. Should have paid more attention to it when Sonny was first looking at it. I am pleased with the strong turn around in Intel and am pleased that Merrill
called off their bullpit dog on that stock.

I really do not see any reason for Allen Greenspan to touch interest rates right now especially since the turn around in Brazil on Friday and the good performance in our markets too. I used to pull my hair out with Allen but looking back now he is the best friend the markets have had and is the major reason why our financial portfolios rebounded from the October lows. It is a selective market and the focus is on earnings.

Go Intel, Microsoft, AOL, LU, Cisco and Dell

Best Regards
Frank
