Yahoo! short strategy is to destroy the board.

Suppose several people succeed in trashing a small company's Yahoo! chat board. That might be seen as a small way to influence the FUD factor.

Apparently the new WebMistress, Bob, has been very very narrow and puritanical lately. Well, he can not have an easy job, so some tolerance is in order to keep these boards from slipping in to the fetid slime of Yahoo!

My impression of MRVC has two components that I think may be on the subject of your recent post-

1) I used to think MRVC's price flys around for no reason.

I said it a zillion times, and I would like to modify my credo-
MRVC's price flys around for no reason I CAN SEE

It seems to me that the stock trades like somebody knows something that we simply do not have access to. My opinion is that Mr. Pink did not precipitate our fall, he predicted it, and probably added accelleration to the fall by raising the FUD factor to a very high pitch.

Of course, dropping below "support" hurts, but not as much as dropping below the lowest put strike price. My new side theory is when a company drops below the lowest put strike, or spikes above the highest call price, then the momentum will carry quite a bit. I have several anecdotal cases, and perhaps a theory based on arbitrage and option discounting could be constructed by somebody smarter than me.

In a round-about way, this brings me to point two:

2) the maximum strike price on our newer series of options is $10. (that's the Feb's and Jul's.)

This is another stick to throw in the fire that IF MRVC breaks above $10 for some reason unknown to me, then it could well really spike up! Adding short selling and momentum players... well, there is that old "mid-teens" number.

One last thought- it seems there is some whispering that MRVC could loose a few cents for the next Q.

Anyone venture a guess how that would be received by "the street?"

Given that the pattern used to be "meet estimates, then drop", is sure wouldn't mind "miss estimates and rise." Nothing can surprise me here at this point.
