maybe I wasn't clear, but I think you and I are saying the same thing. aol is no longer my isp, it is fuse.net(cincinnati bell) and it is an adsl connection. definitely works better on aol than their own service.

hi Pru, I can confirm your statement about AOL being faster, but with a twist. I enter
into AOL from an ISP. When I access the net from AOL, it is faster then when I just use
a browser with just the ISP connection. Strange to say the least, but true.

I have cable access and use AOl through the backdoor with the same experience. This is consistant and confusing. It may be the amount of hops from the server as a wild guess. I can't trace through AOL. Pure guess here.
