Go to big charts to look at the Rich multiples
bigcharts.com

Then chart Microsofts PE ratio for last 10 years.
Right now at at 70PE it is highest ever.

Please keep the price around 150 tomorrow so that I
can DUMP this in my retirement accounts.

Company bought back about 20 million shares at $105 price.
Note that price : $105. That is about where the company
thought it was fair price to buy.


The company did not know how to value its stock. They did not buy back at all in a quarter in last year(Sept 97 or Jan 98--I am not sure which). Why did they start now, when the stock has more than doubled?
I think they have started a policy to buy back shares every quarter---a sort of dollar cost averaging.
