For all you guys that love Ames. The same magician that took Ames out of bankruptcy will in the next couple of days hopefully, take Bradlees out of bankruptcy. I am hoping the same wonders Peter Thorner did at Ames can be repeated at Bradlees.

Eric, it looks as if your timing was very good indeed. I have been out of the country for the past few weeks, and am just getting back into the swing of things. Keep watching AMES as the Hills acquisition unfolds during the year. These things never seem to go as smoothly as management would like them to as there are so many areas to consider during the transition. Should a bump in the road occur, you may just get that opportunity to repurchase AMES at a more favorable level sometime down the road.

The CEO of Bradlees (BRADV) was quoted today as wanting to expand his store base. Do you think they could be successful against WMT, DH KSS? Do you think they could do what Ames did?
Any word on the HDS AMES merger?
