The central problem-how to prevent power from being abused-remains unsolved

No it isn't. The founders solved it. Diffuse power evenly amongst 3 coequal branches and X sovereign states and y local communities.

People who label thenselves "liberal" or hide behind dishonist labels like new Democrat and moderate Republican have upset this balance and so are to be resisted at every turn.

Thanks for the thought provoking article.

Now what's this?

<<"Vote Republican- You're stupid, and we're not" camp. On your (presumably) more serious moral revolution front, you might find this bit of Orwell thought provoking.>>

With great confidence I think I can say, I have contributed plenty of stupidity to this thread. How soon you forget.

Exempliary past post: "Bill clinton is a maggot, feeding on the puss of a festoring and oozing hemoroid on that pig Flynt's butt hole."

There now, tell me of the institute of higher academia the above post is derived from. Sheesh, pay attention.

I have never voted Republican, as I have stated many times, and have no hidden feelings of allegance. I assure you, I fully accept the labels we've recently received from the world at large ("Nation of Liars" and "Nation of Suckers") as earned on both sides by our partison representatives.

If my statements of "revolution please" based on the willingness of some yet unforeseen group to adhere to basic standards of decency, as in, "Kindness is a good thing and meanness is a bad thing;" makes me a radical moralizer, then watch out for my 3 and 4 year old counterparts that seem to have no problem with such statements. We are not such an awful threat though, since the indoctrination and complexities of modern society tends to help most folks dismiss such notions long before assimilation into polite adult society.

Have peace
