George, the press release mentions that this paleochannel is
several million square metres in size. Your dimensions of
1 km X 5 km works out to five million square metres which
sounds like it is in the neighbourhood.
Is a paleochannel some kind of ancient river bed where the
eroded tops of a kimberlite pipe could have been deposited
over time ?
I've e-mailed the company in regards to that mining equipment
they have stored at the U.N. compound in Freetown as to it's
present condition. Will let everyone know what I hear back.
