Scumbria,

Putting pressure on Intel may not be AMD's best business plan. This pressure is usually reflected back and puts more pressure on AMD. With the K7 and its differentiated high performance bus, AMD has a chance to get out from under Intel's thumb; not by putting pressure on them, but by having a uniquely attractive product that can be priced accordingly.
