Mike - obviously you're talking about "revenue" and not "making money" or profits. Bid.com had approximately 30 million in revenue in 1997 and is projected to have 50 - 60 million in revenue in 1999. Or at least that's my understanding. There is a big difference in revenue and profits/"making money."

Far from 60 millions by the end of the third quarter. They had a loss of 12.9 millions on sales of 13.7 millions. They even sold under cost in 1997. They are selling at cost and will have to do so even more to face the competition.

Don't confuse revenues and earnings.
