It's interesting that there are other companies making flash memories, but from an investment viewpoint, Sandisk is the only pure play on flash memories. Do you think flash memory will grow? Of course it will, and we're just in the beginning of this. This technology is expanding everywhere and Sandisk is the best focused play in this sector. dave

Jason, You wonder why Sony hasn't incorporated flash memory in the Mavica product. I know that it has been popular, but it really is of no interest to people with more than a basic interest in photography. The resolution is just not satisfying in my opinion. Ausdauer

Jason, Are you speculating that Sony is going to make an mp3 player or are you speaking of a fact? I have asked a Sony friend who works in a Sony support center for CD and mini-disc. He didn't know that Sony was planning for any mp3 player. There is no doubt that promoting mp3 is killing mini-disc. So sony might arrive into the world of mp3 late. But memory stick certainly can be used on other Sony products, such as its next generation Play Station, digital camera, cell phone, and setup box. Does anyone know if Sandisk collects any royalty from SmartMedia and Memory Stick? Khan
