T, I am more encouraged by the idea that options are a zero sum game and for every person who loses money, there is one or more folks who make that money. All have clearing brokers, so somebody is making a profit and those somebodies will keep the sucker afloat until I get my cash. Along with margin requirements, mark to market, etc. and a decent disaster insurance fund, including SIPC. These are securities insured by the govt. However, I know how slow they can go and I am not certain that they could engineer a bailout before expiration day.
