***All: Triffin's idea of thread mining is an excellent one. I personally would like to reduce all the time that we spend surfing to other sights trying to glean useful information only to keep it to ourselves. Think about what we could accomplish if we are able, each one of us, to bring back the good information from those respected people and threads here on SI, or somewhere else. It is a great idea!! The administration still needs to be worked out but through this program we could make this THE place of all important information on SI. Combine that with the way we go about our business here and you have an even more powerful tool. I hope you will all buy into this new program and help out. After all, the more work we all do, the more information is presented, the more prosperous we will all be. It is much too easy to sit back and play someone else's picks.....now is the time to get involved if you are not already. Lets build upon what we have started. Thanks TJ

Triffin, Idea Flow...Very impressive idea to get the information out quickly. I work full time in addition to trading so I am on the computer on an irregular basis or I would jump at the chance to monitor a site. I know there are people here that do not like #daytraders chat room, but I have followed it for several months and I get some excellent trading ideas from it. If there is any interest, maybe I could pass along some ideas from there if I catch any. I am always amazed by the "thinkers" in this forum...keep up the good work. zora

THREAD MINERS....UPDATE So far we have about 18 'topic' threads and about 20 'people' marks.......... I'll post the list tomorrow evening after the close. Not that we need more ideas but a good source on SI is to check the 'hot' subjects and 'new' subjects list for a dual listing..it means its probably in play and early enough to consider as a trade.. Also think its a good idea to keep a 'trade log', I use 5 X 8 spiral note books about 140 pgs, go thru one every 2 months..good to get in the habit of writing down each trade..why you are in it and your exit strategy win or lose....it'll also be a great reference for that book you're going to write someday <gg>..helps alot with DD as we often revist the same stock at a later date..
