LL, I don't remember being rude, but matter of fact. I disagree with your religious doctrine you have made out od a mish mash of the old and new testaments. I certainly see that you have misunderstood a great deal. And I firmly believe that I will not change your mind on anything. So little point in quibbling about scripture. What you said about the sin in the church is the truth but there are a few things to consider. One is that God is patient with us, that He also disciplines all that are His own, and that He has said that He will not be mocked (by those who willfully sin), whatever we sew we shall also reap. There is no free ride so don't get overly bothered if you see someone sinning. Pray for them, feel sorry for them. They will pay for it, God has said so. Just because you didn't see the punishment doesn't matter. God does not lie. If they are His then they will be chastised, if they are not His and just going to church then it doesn't matter anyhow, they will pay the ultimate price eventually, the second death. I see you are hung up on the Jewish role in God's plan and can't see beyond that. Too bad, it's a trap. There is no benefit to being Jewish or in keeping the law in any way. We are saved by grace, not be works lest any man should boast. That is why Jesus is called a stumbling stone and a rock of offense for the Jews. They cannot get the law out of their blood to accept the Grace of Jesus Christ. The law is meaningless, obsolete, useless for salvation. I reject it out of hand. I am sorry you are ensnared by this falsehood about salvation. Paul has made it very plain that the law is useless and of no benefit. Lifting verses of scripture out of context won't change that. Steven was stoned because he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened up and and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." Acts 7:56 What was God doing before He raised up Israel? Was Abraham a Jew? NO, he was not. But He received the promises. So "not a Jew" was given promises. Abraham has faith in God and that pleased God. His whole life Abraham did not have the law or follow any law but He had faith in God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness by God. Faith not law draws us close to God. Not rude, just matter of fact, Bob
