I think you missed ZP's and my context, Sean. Of course you are right that any installable FS under dos would be recognized under Drive Image. But the discussion with Clarence is not pertaining to such other file systems, or a network setup: it is simply the choice between local NTFS and FAT. And given that choice, NTFS isn't an option with DI (at least not yet anyway.)

As we've discussed, I agree with your caution RE keeping removables for backup. Worth repeating.

My Jaz Carts and Tapes in my fire safe will be functional and have no such limitation. and in general backing up data is more important than KOT.

Agreed. KOT/second hardrives are not a substitute for backing up data on removable media.
