Is he the inventor of the "Bollinger Bands"? Anyone know?

And I agree with LG- I hope it doesn't end up the way he describes. It would truly be destructive to the stock markets, and the internet too. It will scare people away from investing in the internet for years to come, at the very least.

Haim R. Branisteanu: Well, it is not too early to start thinking of defensive strategies to prep for a bubble burst and possible prolonged bear.

What is one to do, beside be out of debt...buy back into the Market trying to call the bottom, swing to commodities that fit the necessities category like food, go with energy (oil/gas), rush to gold bullion, numismatic coins, buy foreign currency or just go to cash? Maybe all of the above!

Will the final result be deflation, depression, inflation, hyperinflation, stagflation or something new? <g>

Regards,
LG

Haim, I am not sure about oil, we had a little "scare" rally because of few cold days in the northern hemisphere, but now the whole east coast is back at unusually high temperatures. No help from Asia either on the demand side, and finally, if Bollinger is right (and we are facing a bear), commodities are not going to be the safe bet, at least not until deflationary pressure ease a little, and as usual, the sectors that are the weakest on the onset of such a bear move become even weaker,IMHO.
