agreed the markito is overvalued and the casino mentality is scary. But, it hasn't tanked yet. I enjoy the boards, but, then again, the "it will crash today, trust me" mentality is disturbing...as well...

Have you read "Fear and Greed at the End of the Rainbow"...

I am no longer taking the market rise so personally. If one can't time the market on the way up, one can't do it on the way down...

I am tired of reading posts that say the market will crash tomorrow...

I still think the market has big problems, Brazil, Yeltsin's ulcer, derivatives, yada yada, and y2k to boot, but if and when a crash happens, it happens...I think this is a year to lay low on the market, but, it seems pointless to be upset about ajc, market makers, daytraders, the whole nine yards. If we want to be out of the market, we stay out. I'm not getting agro about mm's on amzn puts who jack up the spreads. There is no way I can see how to play amzn on the way down that will make me any money, but I am sure it will go down...

I guess what I'm trying to say is us "bears" should probably relax, let the bulls do their thing till the one day, the music stops...
It may be Yeltsin, it may be another ltcm, it may be amzn's upcoming results...But...

When I read a post by kis who postulates that amzn will "throw in the towel", I begin to think I'm dealing with a lot of amateurs here who think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy...OK, amzn is out of control, that;s life...

Good luck...ICE, your posts are interesting, do you have any comments ?
