Daily Mining News, 1/18/99:

Sun River Gets Varied Results from its New Property

Sun River Mining (SUNR:NASDAQ BB) announced results of samples assayed from the recently
acquired Challana River Valley gold property in Bolivia. The samples assayed, which returned values
of up to 5.2 ounces per ton (oz/t) gold, were taken during a mine site visit in October.

The objectives of the program were to perform a gravity separation study on two adit samples to
determine recoverable gold values using a scrubbing, screening, and shaking table test procedure,
and to determine the gold content of the remaining samples by the spotty or nugget gold procedure.

Assays of the samples varied from .002 to 5.21 oz/t gold, and the lowest assays were from samples
of materials out of the pay streaks or from material exiting the gold recovery sluice box. In the two
samples treated to determine recoverable gold content, the results showed gold and silver recoveries
of 98.1% and 98.4% respectively, in minus 1/4 inch by 20-mesh product.

The samples were processed and tested for content by Hazen Research. Because of the
percentage recovered, Hazen says, "a trommel scrubbing operation, followed by screening at 1/2
inch and jigging the minus 1/2 inch material, should recover most of the gold in the Adit C type
material...". (Jan 14/99)
