Bob does not have a sell rec on UTEK at present; his recommendation is to accumulate below a specified price. He still has faith the stock will provide a return, I believe.

He reminds people that his buy rec for Microsoft and Vodafone resulted in more than spectacular returns; and, that to protect against unhappy surprises (e.g., UTEK), no one stock should comprise more than 4% of a portfolio. The individual who followed the newsletter, and owned Microsoft and Vodafone, even with a position in Ultratech Stepper, would be smiling right now. Furthermore, the individual who loaded up on some of the companies he has mentioned on the show (Lucent! Applied Materials, etc) would have have an even bigger smile.

I do not intend to defend Bob with these comments--I think he is quite capable of that himself. However, do not think it is very edifying to make comments about UTEK in the Honours thread out of context. It would be much more interesting to enter into a discussion regarding what happened to that company and when it's revenues will lead to higher stock prices.

Ciao,
David (with a big smile) Todtman
