"What gives ACTV its biggest boost, is its deal
for all of General Instrument Corp.'s (GIC)
set-top boxes to have ACTV software built in.
General Instrument is one of the two leading
manufacturers of digital set-top receivers and
an investor in ACTV (Sarnoff Corporation and
NextLevel Systems, Inc. are also equity
investors in ACTV). Samuels notes that ACTV is
in the midst of discussions with
Scientific-Atlanta, the other set-top receiver
manufacturer."

We may not be exclusive, but Samuels notes we are in discussion. The full article was in Forbes online version.

Ron, nobody does exactly what Actv does not even close. There will be more than one companies interactive application in both GI and SFA boxes. We are hoping to be the biggest player, and I feel strongly we will be.

>Liberty Interactive will also offer its interactive-programming content to non-TCI cable operators right out of the gate, according to Masters, and to Internet-oriented new-media platforms — possibly services such as @Home Network — later on down the road.<
