That's correct. I prefer to sell the LEAPS, pay the tax and reinvest the entire amount in the farthest term LEAPS available at the time (if I am still equally bullish on the stock).

Once Dell's price goes over the strike price of a leap OR call you can exercise and buy the stock at the strike price.
Also remember one contract means 100 shares, thats the least you can get with a call or a LEAP.
