I find very disgusting the ex-longs who change their tune after they sold. There is nothing less dishonest and irresponsible than what these charlatans are doing. Even the naysayers and shorts have more of my respect because at least they are consistent. I almost don't want to post any rebuttal to this phil guy, and I have absolutely no desire to convince this charlatan to return to the stock, but I will post a rebuttal for the sake of other longs because I don't want to see them get hurt because of those lies. =============================================== Charlatan phil said: Their whole business foundation is based on the use of contracted use of software. For any reason what so ever it stops, they are out of business. You are twisting the facts from the SEC filing. All the filing said is that the company is negotiating some exclusive right to the software. The current software is owned by the company, period. This is not a stock with it's own foundation but one totally dependant on use of the Sabre reservation system with a relatively short contact. Their own report raises this issue repeatedly with expressed concerns as a warning to stockholders. What can be more idiotic than the above statements? There are only 3 major reservation systems in the U.S. and in the world, Sabre, Appollo and Galileo. Every travel company, small or large, will have to use one those systems, and there is no reason why those reservation system companies will one day decide not to contract out their systems, for the simple reason that they need those travel companies to make a living. It's like saying that CompUSA may go out of business one day if it can no longer buy products from the PC manufacturers and software companies. Of course, every SEC filings always contains cautionary statements. 1) You must own a computer to use IRIS or its back to the telephone. Isn't it the whole idea of being an internet company because a lot of people like to do business this way using a COMPUTER? And isn't it nice that this company offers the phone as an alternative to do business than just through the internet? 2) The wait on the phone line is too long; I don't wait in line. How long did you have to wait? My longest wait was 10 minutes and I could browse other sites while waiting and that beats listening to elevator music on the phone. 3) The cheap fares are last minute or red eye flights, not great for planning ahead or comfort. That's totally B.S. There are a lot of testimonies from people to the contrary that lowairfare beats other companies most of the times. 4) They aren't doing business with Delta and US AIR. It's true and not true. If one looks at the metaname on the lowairfare web page, it shows Delta airlines. My take is this company deals off and on with different airlines at different times only when it feels the contract is favorable to make money. There is no reason to work for free and make no money. Just like a small department store doesn't have to carry every product that Wall Mart carries because it only needs to sell products that make money. 5) The flat rate discounted ticket becomes more valuable with multiple ticket purchases, families and groups. ???? What are you talking about? 6) IRIS doesn't allow use without an IFLY attendant. Isn't that the whole idea about this interactive site is to provide superior customer services and at the same time provide the lowest possible airfare while not sacrificing profits. See this article: dailynews.yahoo.com This article shows that customer services using live sale agents are still a must. A lot of people aren't too happy shopping online. 7) The IRIS software loads at 1/3 the speed of other travel software, very slow. This is blatant lie. The lowairfare web page loads much faster than most other web sites including Preview Travel and Travelocity. And this company uses Exodus, the number web hosting company, to ensure that the best response and reliability are provided to the users. 8) You can't use promotions, vouchers and coupons. Show me what Preview Travel, Travelocity, or Expedia can provide in this regard? 9) They can't use electronic ticketing. This shows either or both, your ignorance and/or your untruthfulness. I can tell that you have never tested the IRIS and yet you are here trying to provide some stupid comments. If you have booked a ticket through IRIS, in the last phase before you make the payment, you will have the choice of selecting either overnight FedEx, 2nd day FedEx, or E-Ticketing. An objective investor Right! And stupid too.
