Believe it, Sean. It works. Can't say as I recommend it,
just raising the possibility. But it works exactly as
I said.

But in the case cited (NEW NT with lots of time
spent installing apps) it makes a lot of sense.

All you're doing is preserving the application registry
entries across an NT install. NT has to go back where
it was. You're not moving anything.
