The "government's business" has turned in to a money grab - taking money from working people and doling it out to those who refuse to work or to those who are cronies of the government.

Shutting down the federal government from "business as usual" will be a good thing - the free market will pick up the slack in a better, more efficient manner.

Bingo. That's why markets tend to do better with different parties in the WH and the Congress. Less gets done (to us).

Paul:

It's too bad pollsters don't design polls to pick up such sentiment. Historically, the public has seemed to prefer having the opposite parties control the white house and congress. I believe it is for exactly the reason you mention. If they spend all their time trying to tear each other down, that's less time they have to think of ways to fleece you and me.

Best Regards,
