Re: NN
I have owned this stock several times in the past two years and watched the news closely. It is a very successful co. with top notch management and great products. I think part of their lackluster performance in '98 was largely to to the unsuccessful acquisition and the fact they are a Canadian Co. NN has recorded write-offs associated with the acq. and is ready to move forward with successful ATM products. As far as buyouts, who knows? Certainly would be beneficial to diverse their product line. NN has seen strong momemtum in the past month and looks to break out back to the glory days of $60-70 per share. I think you are on the right track. I missed the boat on this one...would like to see it pull back a little to the 20 range before I would be willing to go in long. Especially since they are very volatile co. I would guess that there is some institutional buying but not yet like '97. Please pass on any buyout info. Regards, Keith
