That's my understanding too, that by voting no we can only hope to block the original deal and force Intel to pay more, or walk away. Thanks for clearing that up. I agree that this has taken much much longer than usual. The CS/NETVA deal went through much faster. That was a good arbitrage, though it looked bad for a while when the market tanked in August. Just checked YAhoo. The merger agreement was signed three months ago today, on October 19. It sure seems like it was much longer ago.
