Mark, You and Jazzbo raise some valid concerns about efforts needing to be expended towards the tools that will be TSIG's future. i.e. Cohesive site and teleservices/customer service.

Still, I think that the existing site may need to be fixed. I say may, because the only significant impact that this existing site will have on the success of TSIG is with the influx of customers due to the BR fundraising. It is not clear to me when the BR fundraising will commence in earnest cards will hit the street, perhaps as soon as this week or next, maybe Sam can answer. If many of the BR card holders hit the existing site and experience problems, completion of sales allowed by the card, card reload rate and even resales in the future by the same BR member may not reach what could be expected. TSIG has only one chance at it's first big musicard fundraiser. They would de well to be able to show the best possible results from it.

I don't think that problems experienced by the BR card holders using the existing site will have a lasting effect on the long term success of the company. However, it could have a lasting effect on the success of the BR card. I don't know if I would have confidence in selling a BR card to past or new supporters if those card holders that I sold to in the past had negative experiences with it. I believe Sam had said that the All Stars fundraising that occurs later in the year will be a big cash generator for BR. Could a less than positive experience by their supporters in the spring put a damper on later efforts.

I would believe there needs to be a balance of efforts made by TSIG to support the users of the existing site if they expect a fundraising entity to utilize it, while at the same time avoiding any impact on the scheduled release of the new site. This must be a tough balancing act and I'm glad I'm not the one on the high wire.

So what am I trying to say? I believe somewhere in there I tried to relay that avoiding any fixes to the existing site would not be prudent based solely on the fact that it has a limited life span. I think efforts to fix any major problems should be commensurate with the expected usage from the BR card holders.

I would have to think that management realizes this. They have proved to be quite capable in building this opportunity up to this point. I have plenty of reason to expect that they will continue to the best of their demonstrated ability. My hats off to them and they have my admiration and thanks.

The same goes for this thread. Kudos and thanks to all of you posters who make this a fine thread.
