* News * - Boeing, 1st order - #'s to follow +++++++++ Napier launches paint equipment cleaner, closes sale to Boeing Napier International Technologies NIR Shares issued 22,150,248 1999-01-18 close $1.22 Tuesday Jan 19 1999 Mr. Bradley Aelicks reports Boeing has undertaken months of comparative testing and placed its first purchase order for Napier's newly launched spray gun and paint line cleaner product. Napier has already been requested to supply such a product for several other of existing customers which have also undertaken testing programs. The product is considered by Napier management to be a breakthrough for certain sectors in the paint industry that have tried to move to complete environmentally friendly paint systems. The cleanup process has to date been the major obstacle as virtually all other products used for this purpose are hazardous substances. Napier's spray equipment cleaner is non-hazardous, non-toxic, is not regulated by Hmis or Whmis, contains no toxic or hazardous airborne components, has a neutral odor and will not burn human skin. The significance to Napier is the broad cross market use for this type of product. Although meaningful volumes are used in the refinishing industry, this market is a fraction of the volumes and potential by original equipment manufacturers and original product manufacturers for unlimited applications. Napier's marketing team continues to penetrate the aerospace industry. The first real marketing initiative in Canada has been lead by Lorne Klipper. Mr. Klipper's efforts have been rewarded with 11 new accounts now purchasing products in Canada. South of the border, Arthur Bragg has closed accounts with six new refurbishing facilities since Jan. 1, with several other major accounts expected within the month. This remarkable product acceptance and market penetration has pushed sales volumes for January over all previous months already. A more detailed summary of sales will be issued shortly after month end when a comparative analysis can be given. (c) Copyright 1999 Canjex Publishing Ltd. canada-stockwatch.com
