>What exactly is BOP?

LzzrdKing,

BOP stands for "balance of power". I don't know what BOP is.

>How is it calculated?

I've asked Worden that question, and they won't say. It's a proprietary indicator. Since I don't know what it is or how it's calculated, it doesn't mean anything to me.

>Is it reliable?

Even Worden says it isn't reliable in many instances. So it's an unreliable indicator that is calculated in some unknown way.

Personally, I don't rely on it, but I do look at it as a point of interest this way...

If a stock shows a consistent historical pattern of a price rise when BOP is in the green and a price decline when BOP is in the red, then I might anticipate that pattern to continue. On the other hand, there seems to be no correlation, or pattern at all with BOP and price action.

I wish Worden would provide more information as to exactly what BOP is and how it's calculated. Keeping the calculations secret greatly limits the usefulness of the BOP indicator.
