steve, I think my problem is that I don't know "good news" when I hear it. Case in point, from the last conf. call: " Our bookings exceeded our sales last quarter. We had a number of contracts that we didn't fully complete last quarter, which is good news from my point of view because the backlog went up as a result." I wonder if it is possible the news could be even better on this call? Spanky

steve,

I talked to Brad....and I can tell you he doesn't know anything.

He knows that Steve Felix is really Steve...and not Spanky or Dan.
Steve is still a high ranking member of the Commission... he has just dropped in to let us know that he is getting restless.....and is moving towards Rob's camp as the quarters pass....IMO.

Of course I knew about the Security Dynamics relationship and all of that stuff.....Harghhhhh....why do you think I posted it?

The deal with Gemplus and Veridicom is a major development......and the First Union deal is large also.....as is the $9 million investment by Lernout.

All of these things add up.......Steve/Spanky/Dan......to the recognition that major expenditures will be made in the biometric industry within the next few years. The frequency of these deals is now almost daily...and the names involved are getting bigger and bigger.....Heck....First Union even advertises on television.

IDX may not be making big waves yet within the industry....but the industry is beginning to make big waves.

Our ship is still way out there....kinda cruising around in circles.....Yes!....I can still see it.....It may have a broken rudder...or something. Shiver me timbers.

To all,

MISSISSIPPI LAW ENFORCEMENT TO GET AUTOMATED FINGERPRINTING

Mississippi law enforcement agencies will no longer have to wait days for results of fingerprint checks once AFIS equipment connects them with the state fingerprint database. Biloxi Police will soon become the first department in the state with automated fingerprinting capability, and the availability of state and federal
funding will impact the spread of live-scan fingerprinting in the state.
