the interesting player is now lcos
att owns tci and therefore owns at home
if at home buys excite then att's recent
deals with lcos would be put into question

i bet if the deal goes through
att and lcos will go separate ways
that would make cbs and time warner
as the next big players to want to buy a portal
could lcos be next?
